Air Silk Road Boosts Henan's Opening-up
Cargolux Airlines saw its revenue up 68.51 percent from a year earlier to 1.295 billion US dollars boosted by the Air Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg, thus making Zhengzhou airport's cargo volume rank first in Central China, said a source from Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Co., Ltd., on May 19.

In 2014, Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Co., Ltd., purchased 35 percent stake in Cargolux Airlines, the first international first-class all-cargo airline introduced into Henan. Since then, the construction of an Air Silk Road between Zhengzhou and Luxembourg under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative has begun with the "dual-hub" strategy aiming to turn Zhengzhou into the Asia-Pacific logistics center and Luxembourg the center of Europe and America.
Despite the COVID-19 impact on the global market, Cargolux China (Zhengzhou) has never suspended its flights but expanded with a series of technical measures implemented to meet the evolving market needs with its Q1 cargo volume reaching some 27.9 thousand tons and accumulated volume over 870 thousand tons since its first launch.
