Large-scale harvest work of wheat in Central China's Henan province commenced on May 27 with 112 thousand combine harvesters put into operation at the peak and 10.02 million mu (1 mu equals about 666 square meters) of wheat harvested daily. Henan's large-scale wheat harvest has been basically completed now with more than 85 million mu of wheat harvested as of June 13.

Summer sowing is progressing smoothly, too. So far, Henan's summer sowing area of crops has reached 66.313 million mu, accounting for over 70 percent of the total.
