Being of the Longshan Culture period, the Pingliangtai Ancient City Site in Huaiyang, Zhoukou City, Henan Province,is the earliest square city found in China with a history of more than 4,500 years.It covers an area of 7 hectares and boasts the earliest urban drainage system and traces of "two-wheeled cart" rutsdiscovered in China, and the earliest solid central axis that pioneered in China's urban construction planning.
