"My Shaolin Master" vividly documents the perspective of foreigners on the experience of Henan's intangible cultural heritage. A Pakistani young man named Jiang Rui travels to Dengfeng Shaolin Temple in Henan province to seek out a popular "Shaolin Master" on the Internet and train under him. However, when the master appears, he is only a 4-year-old "San Bao" little novice. Under the guidance of "San Bao," Jiang Rui physically experiences and learns Shaolin Kungfu, and understands the culture of "Chan, Wu, Yi" that has been handed down for thousands of years in Shaolin Kungfu.
