Two out of Ten National Archaeological Finds of 2023 are from Henan
The National Cultural Heritage Administration announced its "Top 10 New Archaeological Finds of 2023" on March 22. The annual list, first launched in 1990, has been generally hailed as one of the most important honors bestowed on archaeological projects in China.
The two out of ten finds are from Henan: Wangzhuang Relics of Yongcheng and the Shuyuan Street Cemetery of Shang Dynasty Relics. With this recognition, Henan's new archaeological finds selected for the top ten nationally has now reached 55, maintaining its position at the forefront of archaeological exploration in the country.
