On September 3, the reporter learned from China Folk Literature and Art Association's Activities Management Department that the Zhongzhou Drum performance of "Celebrating the Bumper Harvest", recommended by the Xinxiang Folk Literature and Art Association, has successfully entered the final evaluation for the 17th China Folk Literature and Art -- "Mountain Flower Award" as Excellent Folk Art Performance Works. This is also the only work from Henan province to be selected in this category.

9月3日，记者从中国民协活动管理处获悉，由新乡市民间文艺家协会推荐的中州大鼓《欢庆丰收》成功入围第十七届中国民间文艺山花奖•优秀民间艺术表演作品终评，这也是该类别下我省唯一一件入选作品。

The China Folk Literature and Art --"Mountain Flower Award" is a national-level folk art award co-sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Folk Literature and Art Association. It is on par with other top national awards such as the "Baihua Award" for films, the "Golden Eagle Award" for television, the "Plum Blossom Award" for traditional opera, and the "Lotus Award" for dance. Since its inception in 1999, the award has been held 16 times.

中国民间文艺山花奖是由中国文学艺术界联合会、中国民间文艺家协会共同颁发的国家级民间文艺大奖，与电影“百花奖”、电视“金鹰奖”、戏曲“梅花奖”、舞蹈“荷花奖”等同属我国文艺界的最高奖项，自1999年以来已经成功举办了十六届。

This year, the "Mountain Flower Award" includes four subcategories: Outstanding Folk Literature Academic Works, Outstanding Folk Literature Works, Outstanding Folk Art Performance Works, and Outstanding Folk Craft Art Works. In the category of Outstanding Folk Art Performance Works, 23 programs from across the country, including folk songs, square dances, and drum performances, have entered the final evaluation. The Zhongzhou Drum performance "Celebrating the Bumper Harvest" by the Xinxiang Zhongzhou Drum Art Troupe is among them.

据介绍，本届山花奖设有优秀民间文艺学术著作、优秀民间文学作品、优秀民间艺术表演作品、优秀民间工艺美术作品四个子项。其中，在优秀民间艺术表演作品这一类别中，有来自全国各地的民歌、广场舞、鼓舞鼓乐一共23个节目进入终评，由新乡县中州大鼓艺术团表演的中州大鼓《欢庆丰收》位列其中。

The Zhongzhou Drumming originated during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty in today's Zhao Di Village, Langongmiao Town, Xinxiang County. It is a unique folk-art form in northern Henan that combines drums, gongs, and cymbals, and is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. The Zhongzhou Drum is characterized by its large drums, unique rhythms, and distinctive dance forms. It features a robust and grand style with variable formations and strong regional characteristics, and the dance cymbals are of a notable style, presenting a visual choreography of drums.

中州大鼓形成于明朝万历年间，起源于今天的新乡县朗公庙镇赵堤村，是豫北地区独有的鼓、铙、镲相结合的民间艺术形式，国家级非物质文化遗产之一。中州大鼓具有“鼓大、谱独、舞特”的特点，风格粗犷，气势恢宏，队形多变，地域特色浓郁，舞镲是特色，与鼓舞相结合，呈现了鼓舞的造型编排。

"This honor not only signifies national recognition of the exceptional performance of Xinxiang Zhongzhou Drum in the field of folk art but also represents a successful showcase of Xinxiang's folk art on a national level", said Lou Xinghua, Chairman of the Xinxiang Folk Artists Association.

“这一荣誉的获得，不仅标志着新乡中州大鼓在全国民间艺术领域的卓越表现得到了认可，同时也是新乡民间艺术在全国范围内的一次成功展示。”新乡市民协主席娄兴华说道。

More than a month ago, after being recommended by the Xinxiang Folk Artists Association and reviewed by the Provincial Association, the Zhongzhou Drum performance "Celebrating the Bumper Harvest" was selected and recommended to the China Folk Literature and Art Association. Xinxiang Zhongzhou Drum Art Troupe, undertaking the performance task, successfully obtained the qualification for the preliminary evaluation, and it is one of the eleven drum troupes nationwide to receive this qualification.

据悉，一个多月前，经新乡市民协推荐、省民协审核后，择优向中国民协举荐了中州大鼓《欢庆丰收》这一作品，并顺利取得了初评资格，负责表演的新乡县中州大鼓艺术团成为全国十一支具有初评资格的鼓队之一。

Recently, after receiving guidance and undergoing rigorous rehearsals, the troupe participated in the preliminary evaluation for the 17th Mountain Flower Award in Anxi, Shaanxi, on August 27. Following a competitive evaluation and expert review, the Zhongzhou Drum Troupe successfully advanced and secured a spot in the final evaluation. In October, they will head to Ruijin, Jiangxi, to compete for the 17th Mountain Flower Award alongside other outstanding performance groups.
