At 6:19 PM on February 16, a 747-400F freighter aircraft departed Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, carrying 87.79 metric tons of cross-border e-commerce goods. The flight bound for Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, marked the inaugural journey of a newly established air cargo route. After a brief stopover, the freighter continued its voyage to Spain's capital, Madrid.

The launch of this route represents a significant milestone for Zhengzhou in expanding its cross-border e-commerce logistics infrastructure and strengthening its global freight network. The shipment included a diverse range of products, offering consumers in Kazakhstan and Spain greater access to goods from China's booming e-commerce sector. Moreover, the new route provides businesses in Zhengzhou and surrounding regions with faster, more efficient logistics, bolstering opportunities for regional economic growth. As similar routes are introduced, Zhengzhou—a rising logistics hub in central China—will further solidify its role in global e-commerce supply chains, driving innovation and competitiveness in the industry.  (Photo/Nie Donghan, Correspondent/Chang Jiong)
