At 6:19 PM on February 16, a "Zhengzhou-Madrid" cross-border e-commerce freighter, operated by British cargo airline One Air, departed from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, marking the beginning of a new wave of international freight routes opening at the Zhengzhou air cargo hub.

2月16日18时19分，由英国货运航空One Air执飞的“郑州—马德里”跨境电商全货机，从位于郑州航空港经济综合实验区的郑州新郑国际机场飞往国际市场，拉开了郑州航空口岸国际货运通航城市集中“上新”的序幕。

The new route follows shortly after the upcoming launch of Capital Airlines' "Zhengzhou-Karaganda-Oslo" service. By the end of February, Zhengzhou's aviation port will add three more international air cargo destinations: Madrid, Spain; Nottingham, UK; and Oslo, Norway. Additionally, flights to Dhaka and Liège will be launched to further strengthen regional connectivity. According to Huang Lin, the head of Zhengzhou Airport Customs, the expansion of both new and existing routes is providing a significant boost to the province's cross-border e-commerce sector, allowing its "flying business" to soar. Data shows that in January, Zhengzhou Airport Customs processed 186.41% more cross-border e-commerce export orders, 273.4% more in weight, and 175.34% more in value compared to the same period last year.

“首都航空‘郑州—卡拉干达—奥斯陆’航线也开通在即，2月份郑州航空口岸将增加西班牙马德里、英国诺丁汉、挪威奥斯陆等3个国际货运通航城市，同时将织密飞往达卡、列日方向的航线。”郑州机场海关关长黄琳告诉记者，新航点开通、老航线织密，助力我省跨境电商“飞的”业务振翅高飞。数据显示，郑州机场海关1月份受理跨境电商出口单数、货重、货值同比分别增长186.41%、273.4%、175.34%。

As the source of goods expands, the cross-border e-commerce "flying business" continues to thrive. In recent years, there has been rapid growth in shipments from the Yangtze River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions, contributing an increasing share of Zhengzhou's e-commerce exports.

外地货源不断增多，推动跨境电商“飞的”业务日益繁荣。据了解，近年来，郑州航空口岸跨境电商出口货物中，来自长三角、京津冀的货物迅猛增长，占比不断提升。

"We are proud to have one of the world's top 40 cargo airports, with an annual cargo handling capacity of 1.1 million tons," said Guo Lichao, Director of the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Comprehensive Experimental Zone. "To make full use of our abundant air freight capacity, we must actively integrate and better serve the national unified market, accelerating the development of domestic and international dual circulation systems, and strengthen efforts to attract both customers and cargo to Henan."

The key, according to local authorities, lies in refining and strengthening its open platform. Zhengzhou has implemented a series of innovative measures, including round-the-clock customs clearance, "pre-declaration" for exports, and the development of electronic customs systems. The Henan Airport Group, Zhengzhou Airport Customs, and airlines have established coordinated support mechanisms, providing tailored supervision schemes. New handling methods such as "airside direct transfer" and "special zone operations" ensure smooth and secure transit, gaining widespread client favor and expanding cooperation with Zhengzhou's aviation port.

苦练内功，做深做强开放平台。据介绍，郑州航空口岸探索实施7×24小时通关保障、货物出口“提前申报”、电子口岸等一系列改革创新举措，河南机场集团、郑州机场海关、航空公司建立联动保障机制，分类制定监管方案，采取“空侧直转+专区操作”等模式保障中转全程安全便捷，赢得了广大客户的青睐，不断加大与郑州航空口岸合作的深度与广度。

To further enhance its capacity to distribute bulk goods, Zhengzhou is focusing on creating an efficient and smooth commercial logistics network. For example, the city of Jinhua in Zhejiang Province, one of China's top ten export cities, faces significant air transport shortages, with Yiwu alone requiring over 200,000 tons of air freight annually. Zhengzhou's airport authority has worked diligently to address this gap, initiating the "Jin-Gang Link"(Jinhua-Zhengzhou) project in May 2024. This collaboration between Jinhua and Zhengzhou saw the first shipment consisting of 18 freighters carrying 1,700 tons of goods, valued at over 1 billion yuan.

提升大宗商品集散配置能力，打造高效顺畅的商贸流通体系。中国出口贸易十强城市浙江金华市，出口需求极大、运力相对短缺，仅义乌需要外地补齐的空运缺口每年就达20余万吨。郑州航空港区口岸管理局组成招商专班数次南下，最终于去年5月促成“金港连线”，金华出货源、港区出运力，第一单跨境业务就使用飞机18架次，运载货物1700吨，总货值超10亿元。

Expanding Open Channels and Deepening International Cooperation

Zhengzhou is also deepening its commitment to external cooperation. The city has integrated into the Western Land-Sea New Corridor and signed a strategic partnership with Nanning, Guangxi, to explore the possibility of opening more long-distance intercontinental flights in collaboration with airports in bordering provinces. These efforts are expected to create new fast-tracking routes for the movement and distribution of goods through Zhengzhou.

全面深化对外开放，拓展提升开放通道。郑州航空港融入西部陆海新通道，与广西南宁五象新区签署《战略合作协议》，正探索推动郑州机场同边境省份机场联合开通更多长距离洲际航线，为郑州航空口岸货物集疏、分拨提供新的快速通道。

Zhengzhou has also established a "port-to-port" collaboration mechanism with Russia for cross-border e-commerce, while working with Shanghai Lingang Group and Guangdong’s Shenzhen to promote "dual warehouse" operations. In 2024, Zhengzhou Airport handled 825,000 tons of cargo, setting a new record. Looking ahead to 2025, Zhengzhou's airport will continue to enhance its role in supporting the national unified market, helping the region further solidify its position as a vital hub in the global supply chain. Zhengzhou's airport continues to contribute to the construction of a unified national market, playing a pivotal role in the dual circulation system, ensuring that Zhengzhou's air cargo network remains at the forefront of international trade.
