The second day of the second lunar month, known as Longtaitou Day (literally meaning "Dragon Raises Its Head"), is a traditional occasion for getting a fresh haircut after the Spring Festival. Across central China's Henan Province, people celebrate with a variety of folk activities, welcoming spring, offering prayers for good fortune, and expressing hopes for a prosperous life.

On February 27, folk artists in Weishi County performed traditional folk shows at People's Square to celebrate Longtaitou Day. Villagers from several local communities participated in cultural festivities, including drumming, dragon dances, and "running donkey" performances, praying for favorable weather and a bountiful harvest.
